Every engagement starts in the same place: understanding where you actually are.
Our approach
Most of the senior leaders we talk to are experienced skeptics. They've seen consultants come in, produce a report, and leave. They've managed implementations that looked good on the proposal and fell apart in production. They've been promised transformation and delivered a spreadsheet. We understand why they're careful, and we think being careful is exactly right.
The way we work differently is by structuring every engagement so that it has to earn the next phase. We don't ask for a large commitment upfront because we believe you shouldn't have to take our word for what the work will produce. Each step produces something real and specific. If it's not useful, you stop. That's the deal.
A sequence that earns trust and compounds on itself.
The Operations Diagnostic
This is a fixed-scope assessment of where your organization actually is. It costs something. It takes about four weeks. It produces a clear picture of your current technology posture, the specific gaps and friction points that are costing your team capacity, and a prioritized view of where implementation effort would have the most impact. The Diagnostic is not a sales document. It is a useful thing whether or not you continue with us.
Most clients come in at this stage. It's the right place to start if you're not sure exactly what to fix or you want to build confidence before committing to a larger engagement.
Implementation Sprints and Automation Builds
Structured delivery on the highest-leverage opportunities identified in the Diagnostic, or on a defined scope you bring to us. Each sprint or build has a defined deliverable, a fixed timeline, and a knowledge-transfer component built in from the start. We are not done when the system is built. We are done when your team can operate it without us.
Some clients come in at this stage when they already have a clear picture of what they need and want execution support. That's a fine place to start if you genuinely know what the problem is. If you're not certain, the Diagnostic is the safer entry point.
The Operational Retainer
Sustained partnership for organizations that want to keep moving. Monitoring the systems we've built. Iterating on what's working. Catching problems before they become incidents. Being available when something comes up that your team doesn't have bandwidth to handle. The Retainer is designed for organizations that have made it past implementation and want the work to evolve alongside them.
The embedded approach, and why it matters.
We work embedded, not at arm's length. That means we get access to the actual systems, the actual data, the actual team. We attend the meetings where decisions get made. We understand the context that doesn't make it into a requirements document. We notice the thing the stakeholder forgot to mention because it seemed too obvious.
We keep the client count small on purpose. Not because we can't handle more work, but because embedded work at this level of detail requires real attention. A roster of three to five active clients means every organization we work with gets the version of us that is fully present, not the version that is fitting you in between larger engagements.
What a first 90 days looks like.
First 30 days (Diagnostic): We conduct structured interviews with the people who actually do the work. We map the existing systems and how they connect (or don't). We document where the friction is and what it costs. We deliver a written assessment with a prioritized set of recommendations. You have something concrete to work from, whatever you decide to do next.
Days 30 to 60 (Sprint): We begin implementation on the highest-priority item from the Diagnostic. This is a defined deliverable, not an open-ended engagement. We build, we document, we train.
Days 60 to 90 (Retainer start): If the Sprint has delivered something worth sustaining, the Retainer begins. We stay close while the team builds confidence with the new system. We catch the edge cases and the unexpected behaviors. We set up the monitoring and the runbooks. By day 90, your team knows how to operate what we built and has a partner available when something comes up.
The right place to start is a conversation.
If you're trying to figure out whether this is the right kind of engagement for your organization, the Diagnostic is designed to answer that question. It costs something, takes about four weeks, and produces a concrete picture of where you are and what to do about it. That's the right first step for most organizations we work with.
